Gildo Medina is exemplary of that generation of multifaceted artists so representative of the 21st century : Mexican born, first educated along the traditions of Frieda Kahlo and Diego de Ribeiro where he was the youngest graduate ever, he followed up at Saint Martin’s Academy in London, then l’Accademia dell’arte in Florence, worked shortly in New York shares his living between Paris and Hong Kong.
For his first publication in Hong Kong, Gildo’s ambition was to mark the ancient link between East and West by paying tribute to Hong Kong’s most beautiful face through his own vision of the codes of today’s real luxury: that Parisian touch in Haute Couture, never ostentatious although always innovative, but through the bold yet magic images of his own artistic universe: real women of infinite seduction and class, who deserve simply the best there can be…
Gildo currently live in Paris, where is developing his work as photographer, film maker, illustrator and art director. He has been awarded with twenty four awards, among which two ‘New York Festivals’ and eight ‘Quorum’ Awards in Mexico City.
His most recent contributions go to Coca Cola France (special edition cans signed by artist such Kenzo, JC de Castelbjac, Fafi…) films to L’oreal Paris and to international fashion magazines.
