Today, March 3, is Doll Festival (or Girls’ Day). We have only female staff
at our office.So it is quite a fun celebration to drive away the recession
mood.

Our artist, Anja has been involved in creating promotional visual for
Asahikasei’s “Bemberg” lining material, focusing on the European

Anja Korencke, has been the contributor to the “Thanks Cards” of
Mitsukoshi Dept. Store, which are sent out to their customers to
express gratitude. 2009 spring cards are available now. Her artwork
invites us to long-awaited spring season.

■Hjarta Smarta
Hjarta Smarta, Swedish artist duo who just joined us last fall, completed their
first assignment in Japan for the March 15 issue of Magazine “Pen.” It was
4-page work for Brand Selection section of the magazine for MONTBLANC.
The artwork displays the freedom how a MONTBLANC pen can take you to.

■Monsieur Z
The artist who has been regularly creating the animation since 2007 for
the top page of “Web Channel” which is Marui’s online shopping, is our
Monsieur Z. Cherry blossoms are in full bloom on the Web Channel,
inviting us to spring.

■Jo Lynn Alcorn
There is one technique called “collage” for illustration artwork.
Recently, works that are expressed with ecological materials such as cloths or
papers, are attracting attention. She is one of such artists. She folds papers to
create various motifs like flowers, to create collage artwork. Then they are
photographed to finish as a final work of flat photo data. Of course, her works
of three-dimensional work is wonderful as display panel. She has contributed
her work for “Harper’s Bazaar” in Japan. She enjoys expressing the beauty of
the nature. She has recently joined our agency.
