Now we are in the spring season that we can enjoy cherry
blossom in full bloom .The Tokyo Art Fair was held from Friday
last week for 3 days in Tokyo. This spring, we seem to have
many interesting exhibition not only in Tokyo but also in
various regions in Japan. Here we would like to update you
with our artists, represented by Taiko & Associates, on what
they are doing overseas

■Leah Singer
+ Leah Singer from NY is having an exhibition at the Chelsea Art
Museum. 16 Artists from Belgium and USA focused on the world
peace and the position of women in global contexts; and they
showed, through their expressions in their artwork, how women
can be a moving force to change that. It is a powerful and
energetic exhibition of female artists.Leah utilized lace and
displayed an interesting installation with free and delicate
but bold ideas.

■Monsieur Z
+ Monsieur Z, who has a long career as an animation artist, is
very active as the creator of one popular character in the French
animation world. His hit program is called “RATZ”which is
an animation TV program in the morning for children. This Rat
character which is so popular among kids and its active role can

+ Currently, his another TV program “JET GROOVE”is being
on-aired on the French TV“Channel 2.”This is a story about
air-hostesses and pilots.TELERAMA, a TV program magazine,comments
that it is unfortunate that this program is available only early

■IRMA
+ IRMA participated in the“ART MEETS FASHION”held in Munich
on March 20 and 22. Actress, Sylvie Fleury and a photographer,
Bettina Rheim, are one of about 500 people gathered at the

+ She has developed IRMA character into her own fashion and
jewelry brand line as “IRMAWORLD” for sale. Her jewelries
have been featured in German Vogue and the line is quite

+ Also under her contract with Celine, she has launched T-shirts
