Born in the suburbs of Paris, Izak happened to have a special talent for drawing. After having met Virginie, his agent in Paris in 1992, he started working on Madame Figaro, Elle, Marie-Claire and Vogue. Izak was contacted by Taiko Hasegawa (his Japanese agent) in 1997, and he worked for the Printemps Ginza (Tokyo) for almost two decades, including his solo exhibitions inside the store. His ad campaign for the Spick and Span in Tokyo, received an award from the Art Directors Club in New York. In 1998, Izak found Michèle (Traffic), his agent in New York, and started to share his time between France and the United States, being the face of New York’s cutting edge fashion store, Henri Bendel for nearly two decades.

With the reputation as one of the globe’s most prolific fashion illustrators, Izak’s effortless, visionary style conveys a breezy and fresh, yet elegant and enchanting view of every day life. His collaboration includes, Sephora, Celine, and Guerlain, while his contribution for many books includes Billy Joel’s “A New York State of Mind,” and his latest coffee table book published in 2013.
