2011年3月11日午後2時46分、三陸沖の太平洋を震源とする マグニチュード9.0の巨大地震が発生しました。 １時間後には、それに伴う津波が襲来し、東北地方の 太平洋沿岸部の街を破壊しました。 あの東日本大震災からまもなく10年になります。 At 2:46 pm on March 11, 2011, there occurred a magnitude 9.0 earthquake, with the epicenter off the Pacific Ocean off Sanriku. An hour later, the accompanying tsunami struck and destroyed the city on the Pacific coast of the Tohoku region. It has been 10 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake. |
この節目に、イラストレーション作品をプリントして 復興支援できるトートバッグを作ることにしました。 プロ級の腕前で上質なバッグを作っている 南三陸ミシン工房に持続可能な支援になるように 縫製をお願いしました。「南三陸ミシン工房」は10年前に 被災した女性を支援するために生まれた団体です。 Upon considering what we could do to support somehow with illustrations, we came up with a plan to make tote bags on which we would print our artists’ illustrations. We have collaborated with “Minami-Sanriku Sewing Studio” (NPO) in the disaster area, Minami-Sanriku Town, which started as a place for the local women to live for. They have now acquired sewing techniques, showing professional skills, resulting in beautiful tote bags, etc. |

このトートバッグで南三陸ミシン工房を応援することに 賛同してくださったマロニエゲート銀座2&3と 読売新聞社クラウドファンディング「idea matket」 2社によって復興支援プロジェクトが実現しました。 参加アーティスト、また復興支援の気持ちを サポートしてくださったチームの皆さまのご協力を 心よりお礼申し上げます。 These tote bags were born, with the collaborative support by Marronnier Gate Ginza 2&3, who agreed with the purpose of this recovery support project, and the crowdfunding “idea matket” launched by the Yomiuri Newspaper. |
